Objective

To draw the attention of road users on rising casualties and do’s and don’ts while travelling .

Mission

* Take forward the message of safe and responsible driving through use of protective devices like    helmets and seat belts- schools, colleges & corporate.

* Highlight drunken driving and road rage issues.

 How can we be part of change?

* Involve college and school students in educating the masses.

* Conduct mass ‘Driving tests’ for youngsters above 18 at a centralized venue and issue LLR.

* Targeting corporate employees by way of posters and signature campaign to adopt a safer    driving life style.

* Taking pledges to avoid drinking while driving by celebrities if possible.

* Asking volunteers to man important junctions to get the feel of traffic constables daily issues/ be    a friendly RSP; revive RSP in a big way.

* Conducting campaigns on print and mass media through celebrity endorsement of road safety    message.

 Implementation Plan:

* Action Plan .

* Educate the common man on importance of following traffic rules.

* Distributing inserts, rear mirror hanging air fresheners, spokes of wheel stickers.

* Distributing leaflets at major traffic junctions.

* Seeking permission from IT firms to put up the posters.

* Introducing innovative points scheme for good drivers who have not stepped a red light or    stopped for people to cross the streets.

* Media Support.

* Celebrity endorsement for Road Safety awareness message in Tamil.
