V Scribe is a group which assists Differently Abled students / Persons in their studies and uplifting their life in a better way.
How can you assist?
Physical Presence: You can go as a Reader/ Tutor for these students by attending reading sessions being conducted by different Social Trusts & Special Institutions. Or if you are interested in scribing, you can go as a scribe for students during their examination according to the request from Individuals / colleges.
Monitory Assistance: If you are not in the position to proceed the above mentioned but willing to spend money for their education needs, you can contribute Money or if you have contacts with persons who can contribute money for these purposes, you can refer them to our volunteers.
Serve from Home: You can assist these people from home also by writing assignments, Projects, Lesson Plans which will be a part of their course syllabus. Or you can convert the text books as audio cassettes / CDs who can use this as their study material.
Continuing Successes
* Have been associated with PSBB scribing session for 3 years.
* Have sat scribing exams for visually challenged students on more than 200 occasions over 2 years.
* In 2008 sat for 50 examinations for college students.
* In 2009 sat for 192 examinations for college students.
* Managed sports day event for 3 years at Takker Bapa Vidyalaya’s Visually challenged graduates association in month of May 2008, 2009 and 2010.
* Have also organised annual general meeting of CSGAB (Visually challenged college/graduates association) for 2 years, Women’s Day celebrations in 2009 and also Annual Day celebrations in 2008 & 2009.
* We volunteer for Karuna Vidhya, a subsidiary of Rotaract, which helps visually challenged students by lending books, recording in the form of cassettes and CD’s and also teaches the students to operate computer through JAWS software on every Saturday between 11 am to 2 pm.
* Financially assistance to students- in form of hostel and mess fees, CD players for course work dictation.
* We conducted Helen Keller birth anniversary on 27th June 2009 at The Clarke School For The Deaf and Mentally Retarded, with 8 schools and 135 children participating with painting, singing and elocution competition which was our first event under V Scribe Banner.
* We Celebrated National Sports Day by conducting a Sports Competition for Hearing Impaired Students on August 30th 2009 involving them in Chess & Carom as a major games with 40 Students at Saraswathi Kendra Learning Centre for Children ( Special School for LD & Autistic children).
Our Achievements

We celebrated Visually Challenged students sports day event at Takker Bapa Vidyalaya for second year and volunteered for CSGAB’s Annual Day Celebration continuously for three years.
*
3 years of uninterrupted reading, scribing of notes and sitting for exams for visually challenged students mostly Tamil medium graduate and post graduate students in association with Sai Baba Trust, the main patrons.
